I try to shoot every coyote I see. I don't shoot every doe I see. Just because you can kill 2x does a day from 15 Oct - 31 Jan, doesn't mean you have to - my two cents.

There is a lot of speculation that ALFA lobbies the state regarding deer seasons and bag limits, but I don't think there is any real proof that they have any effect whatsoever on them. Even if they did, it's like the poster above said. The law says you CAN take two deer a day...not that you HAVE TO take two deer a day.

I used to be in a club that had a "biggest yote contest" every season with a cash prize at the end. That encouraged folks to shoot them that normally wouldn't.

As a club, you could always offer free dues or half off dues to the member that takes the most recorded coyotes off the property during specific dates or something.

ALFA insurance. That's the reason we have a season long doe slaughter. It has nothing to do with any wildlife management practice. It has to do with very powerful, and funded ALFA lobbyists who persuaded the state to change the doe regulations, so they (ALFA) would have fewer deer caused auto claims to pay. Any proof of this theory exist anywhere?

Best remedy for yotes is hotdogs and dex-cool. You need a syringe too. Just kidding though that would be bad for the environment.
