OK... So just a little update. Spent the last few weekends pretending to be construction workers and doing a very poor job of it, but drinking lots of beer, being fortunate enough to be invited to friends cabins and served good food, vodka and whiskey, watching college football, and generally being blessed to be alive.

We bought some new hammocks to string up on the back deck and enjoy this view:

Not just relaxing, we actually did a bunch of work. Putting up a scaffold that can slide back and forth so we could finish the front of the cabin was a lot of work just by itself.

you can kind of get the vision of what we were thinking with the cedar and the corrugated tin. The look will only get better over time as the tin weathers and rusts and the cedar starts to age.

All we have to do now to get the outside finished is to install the tin on the upper ends of the cabin. Then we can get to work on the plumbing on the inside.

Our goal is to get the outside completely finished before winter sets in.

Over the last few weekends we finished the handrail on both the entrance deck and the outdoor grilling decks, so that's done now too.
