i hunt skyline at least one time a year. i try to go on the first hunt every year. five yers ago i heard 237 shots ( rifle shots). the next year i shot two deer on opening weekend i fired shots #147 and 149 but i love that stuff . just keep your head down and deer will come running by.
if you were hunting behind the citgo at the top that is close to the firing range. might be what you were hearing. i think the target-practice-only-ppl just like to piss everyone off during the scheduled hunts
