Kind of like people who sign up for Aldeer team contests then don't hunt.

Put the service harness on him and wear dark shades.

You have to film a raid on a yellerjacket nest to get that.

How'd the hunt go? Did the host let you get your dog out?

3F.... Had a great time and she got to hunt after passing their approval.

She picked up 7 of mine, but it should have been 77 !!! I shot terrible but had fun making noise. I honestly saw her look at me after a miss like WTH Daddy ? slap

Actually, found a young hunters 1st bird that they searched for over an hour in real thick stuff. I sent her in at end of hunt in area bird went down... and after a few minutes, heard her coughing and gagging in the brush... She brought a live bird out in her mouth and was spitting feathers !!! Needless to say it was a proud moment and the young hunter was thrilled !!!

Also, I should have been more detailed in my comment of saying I was taking her along... I got permission before leaving that if she met approval, all would be fine, but if anyone objected , I would have to leave her in truck .

I really don't like dogs at any of my dove shoots. The owners seem more interested in training their dogs than hunting doves. Rather than just walk out and pick up the dead bird and go back to their stand, the owner stands there giving commands while the dog is running back and forth scaring birds. I don't allow MOJO doves either - makes the doves dive in too low. Another thing that worries me is a boy that is too young handling a shotgun by himself - they always seem to shoot low birds. I make everyone wear eye protection.

I love a good dog.
I've got a good dog, too.
Glad you got to hunt with her. And she was a valuable asset in the field. thumbup

Even a crappy dog will find the bird no one else can. If they're poorly behaved - make the owner leash them. If all else fails - kick them out.

The only dogs I don't like are mean ones. I'll tolerate a mean one if it has some use though. I had one that only came out of his kennel to hunt hogs and bears or track a wounded deer. He was such a jerk he made me look like a jerk just being around him. Best deer tracking dog I've ever even heard of and he lived to bay anything dangerous.

It pisses some guys off. Never really bugged me. Just made me laugh. But I've seen not-so-good dogs cause friction in duck blinds.

There's a mental problem with men and their dogs. I ended up babysitting some guys who were day leasing a farmers pit cause the farmer really wanted to get them on some ducks. The guy had a "titled trials dog" and I'm sure that thing would run a mean trial. Put it in a duck pit, that thing didn't know which way was up.

I didn't care, cause I was there to help them and they wanted the dog out there.

We killed a few and that dog went out to retrieve one and sat under the mojo and would repeatedly jump up and get its head banged by the spinning metal wings. Didn't want to have anything to do with the duck. I had to leave the pit I was laughing so hard....someone had to go retrieve the ducks anyway.

I don't want my dog anywhere near a field with other hunters on it. I like my dog and I've seen a lot of idiots on dove fields.
