jlccoffee, I don't doubt you man. I guess what I'm trying to say is "on average" the rut, per se, is earlier in the North than it is in the South and certainly, there are exceptions.
I agree with Bugfixer's website that this rutting pattern has evolved over eons of time for reasons Bugfixer's website states. Late born fawns in the North would have a tough time making it during the stress of winter.
Anyway, I wish I were independently wealthy where I could hunt the rut in each part of the the nation! I would be off the Coast of Ga early in the season with ya!!
