large cooler works best imo

i have a large cooler but takes up alot of room in the boat.. i have used trotline string (the big stuff) but the teeth fray it out and they break. i was thinkin about very small diameter steel cable ( put a loop on one end and then have the other end regular so i can put it through their lip)

You know there's a limit of only 1 fish per day of 34 inches or bigger, right?
Get some nylon rope like on a boat trailer winch, run it through the mouth/gills and then secure it to a boat cleat if you're not putting the fish in a cooler.

A dog cable that you put on a stake in the yard. It is steel but it has the rubber covering to keep it from fraying and sticking in your hand.
Will track deer in Marengo, Greene, Sumter, Wilcox, Perry, Hale counties.
