You think cameras at intersections are bad, just wait till your company vehicle is equipped with DriveCam. The camera is constantly taking video inside and outside the vehicle. If you suddenly stop, suddenly accelerate, swerve, hit a deep pothole, etc it instantly reverts to saving the recording from several seconds before the event to several seconds after the event. My employer then gets this video clip emailed to them at a fee of $60 per video. They review it and then contact that driver for remedial action. The company that I work for enforces a 4 second policy for separation between company vehicle and the lead vehicle. One of our guys got written up last week for slamming on the brakes at 16mph (the video shows speed) when some moron cut in front of him in stop and go interstate traffic. I would have raised mortal Hell but he signed the infraction paper.


That company would go broke at $60/pothole here in Selma.
