I can't see turning my back on my child for anything. It's a good thing our Lord and Savior doesn't turn His back on us when we let Him down.
^^ This. I can't imagine ever turning my back on either of my boys. They know what I think about things and know I would be dissapointed but they also know I love them and will have their backs when they need me.
