I try to go with friends. but i typically pull from back legs if its a doe on to the tailgate. never really had to drag one a long ways. with the exception of once when i was hunting a field in covington co. and shot a big nanny about 350 yards out ( just to see if i could adjust for windage). had to drag it 400+ yards to truck but had a friend and that was still rough.
