Looking for a landscape contractor/architect in Birmingham/Hoover area to do some work including design/build of stone walkway and accent plantings. Would like someone that returns phone calls, shows up on time and prepares a proposal/design in a reasonable timeframe.

Sorry I'm no help, but isn't it sad that you have to even put that last sentence in there? You have to act like basic customer service skills are some kind of specialty requirement!! I know that when I start calling around looking for someone to come do any kind of work for me at the house, that probably 75% of the folks I call eliminate themselves by not ever getting back to me in the first place.

I don't know if you really need an architect for that, but if you do Chuck Kelley is very good. Here's his web page. Most reputable LS Contractors should be able to use AutoCAD and sketch you something out and then do it themselves. http://www.kelly-la.com/about-us/
not sure what the best way to handle them is but they shouldnt be on tv and gettn married and raisin kids

Sad but true; Hallb, I have had 2 out so far both have nice refrences on their work and good ideas. One came out promptly on time, promised a proposal last Tuesday. Then said Friday latest. Have sent text and email, no response. The other showed up late, took 3 weeks to bring "proposal" and admitted he is "hard to get hold of"?? I can't imagine telling one of my clients I am hard to get hold of?? Translation; your business is not important to me. Thanks for the suggestions above.
