I almost threw mine away at the end of last season, good to know they can still serve a purpose!

A good cell camera would help.

I have had good luck putting the camera at the base of a tree, then camo it with a couple of sticks. It is a lot harder to see.

Do you mean the ones that send them to your phone?

besides as a bait cam, once a year or so Dicks sporting goods offers a $30-$50 trade in value (working or non-working cameras) toward the purchase of a new one.

Yeah or a surveillance cam that does the same if you have a way to power it. Text, email, etc. are all about the same now in cost and ease of setup. They are expensive but it may be worth it for a while.

I have no personal experience with any of them other than surveillance cams and limited experience with those.

I may be wrong or thinking of the wrong thing but dont those cost a good bit of money? Im asking because where our club is, there is no cell service. I may have to stick with hiding one of my others. I could probably fix up a leaf suit of some kind for it rofl

No cell service makes all of the above a no-go.

That's what I was afraid of. Thanks, Geno

A lot of times, pics can still be retrieved from an "erased" sd card. Co-worker just had her vacation pics saved.

The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

How did they do that?

No. I haven't changed any settings and it got plenty of pics last year and this year before I moved the cam to that spot.

I have a Moultrie that is prone to not taking any pictures even when the settings are right. Guess it's just some bug in their software.

Do a firmware update.

Seems I tried that in the past, but can look into it again.

I have several hidden on my property. The best one is in an old bird house. Camera shoots through the entrance hole.

I have another one sitting inside a pile of construction debris that I "dumped" next to the north gate. It looks like a pile of crap someone dumped on me, but I put it there. The camera is under several pieces of large concrete. Nobody ever messes with it because who is going to haul off 200# pieces of concrete...

I put one inside an old hay bale once to catch some arsehole that kept riding his horse across my place. Horse could jump the fence...

I love my country, but don't trust my government.
