So I thought maybe the normal popping from the CV might be the culprit.
I've never owned the make and model of truck that you're referencing but I've never had a vehicle of any make or model that CV joint popping was a normal/acceptable sound.

Get the F out of the BATFE. The F is guaranteed by the US Constitution. Those other letters are not.
