Cap it with some 2x's across the whole length so you can sit drinks down on the rail?
I would, but the whole point is: When you are sitting in a chair, enjoying your drink while looking at the view, I didn't want a giant 2x running across the middle of it... I'll have end tables out there for people to sit their drinks.
