I'll be hunting about 15 miles West of Athens this year. Can anyone recommend a processor between there and Madison? Thanks.

Whitts is a new processor on Baker Hill rd. just north of hwy 72. Ive already carried him a doe and a feral hog and both were excellent. He also is doing farmers and hunters feeding the hungry which is a great program to donate meat to soup kitchens at no cost to us hunters.

Yep I will try them out too Matt. I had summer sausage made at the place on Easterferry at Morris whatever the name of it was last year and it was good.

With Clarks closed now Whitt should pick up alot of his business plus hes on the main road through there. Handy for me cause hes dead in the middle of all my places except dogwood but thats ok. Hes not doing summer sausage yet but as he learns he will add it.

Was wondering if Clarks was gonna be open this year. Who is running Whitt's? What do they charge? Be closer to the house than Clarks for me anyhow.

Andy Whitt is the owner. You can pm me for his number not that he would care but i dont want to be that person. He charges $60 for a deer and $15 extra if not gutted. He did a real good job on mine earlier.
