We finally got to make our last trip of the year. Went down Saturday and fish that afternoon from the dock where we launched Sunday morning. Used some live shrimp and caught a load of white trout and croakers. James actually caught his first Mangrove Snapper!!! No pic...dang it! Had a blast that afternoon! Went out about 7 miles in the morning ...trolled on our way to the trigger spot. Picked up our first king on the way out. Got to our spot and went to work on the trigger fish. Took a little while to get the hang of the bite. Finally started hooking up and managed to get about six legal triggers, about 6 legal mingo(vermillion) snappers. Landed a couple of big C&R red snappers and one undersized cobia...our first! James also caught his first of two lizard fish. Trolled back in and caught three more kings for the limit and caught some bonitos for the fun of the fight. Great trip and a lot of fun! Wish we could do it more often!
