I'm thinking about going out this weekend on the Black Warrior somewhere, but I don't know if it will be worth it with all the high water levels and stained water.

Oh, I have no doubt. Running the river could be extremely dangerous today.

Those of you with experience fishing around Tuscaloosa......how long do you think it will be before you'd consider the warrior safe to fish/boat on?
(I mean safe for the average/novice boater, not an "expert")

Really only fishing the warrior for about 2 years now on weekends mainly I wouldn't consider myself an expert of the river, but with what we got going on right now I wouldn't even consider getting close to a dam until next weekend and if I did go out I would want to run too fast with all the crap floating around. But to answer your question.. I think the end of next week if it stops raining tomorrow.

Two years ago when the huge flood happened we caught them super shallow around submerged boat docks on Guntersville. I just ordered another care package of dirty jigs no jacks in preparation for it
