We like tacky jacks but only eat there or breakfast. Farmers omelet is solid.

Only been to the one in OB though. Haven't tried the GS one.

Shoot, I ain't gonna hate on the man for looking for a mexican restaurant. IMO mexicans have the whole food thing figured out. Of course, that's all we have around here so maybe I'm just accustomed to mexican food.

For the record- We'll be at Orange Beach July8th for a few days and I won't be eating mexican. laugh

Honestly, if they had a good authentic Mexican restaurant at the coast, I'd eat there, as it would be the only one I've found in Alabama. There are some pretty decent Mexican restaurants, but they lack in the truly authentic department.

Tacky Jack's has good nachos if those count.

To get some good authentic tacos, the are a couple of food trucks in Birmingham that can't be beat. Best I've eaten by far.

You come on up 22 from Selma to Clanton.Right across from 22 quickstop by the trade school there's a little trailer there with Gonzalez or something like that on the side. You want authentic Mexican food stop by there. They talked me into getting a beef tongue taco first time I stopped there..Bout got sick smelling it on the way home. When I pulled it outta the box and looked at it i throwed it in the garbage and ain't been back...but it is 100% authentic Mexican if that's what you want.

Cactus Flower Cafe I think is the name of the place, its in front of the theater off Hwy 59, kind of angled to the right. Is that Pinnacle Place ?

Cafe Del Rio on the causeway has the best fajita steak I've ever had. Very tender and good flavor.
