I've always been one to get up early and get on the lake at sunrise. But I am fishing with a buddy this weekend and he can't get out on the lake until 3pm. I'm usually back at the house at 3pm after fishing. Is fishing any good in the afternoon this time of year with the hot weather??

We've been catching as many in the afternoons as the morning. Starting about 5 and fishing until dark.

Ill be fishing logan martin saturday afternoon from about 6 till 2-3 in the morning

The first hour or two after sunrise and before sunset are my favorite times. The problem with fishing in the afternoon this time off year is how late it gets dark. I wish it got dark at 5 all year.

This time of the year I like to fish from midnight to around 7 or 8.

Once tournament trail season is over ( just finished) I move almost exclusively to night fishing. From 5-6 until midnight. Topwater gets fun and fish usually will follow your bait past there hiding spot. I love it.
