Would love to read legitimate stories, research, bio background and more about the overpopulation of panthers that have wiped out the base prey, wild hogs and deer to the point of now eating pets. That's fascinating.

Any sources to cite? State and fed agencies? News media? City-county-state officials?

Check out the Panthers of South Florida facebook page and you will get all the info you want on what these cats are doing in south Florida. The deer harvest in Big Cypress WMA in 2000 was 284 bucks, last year 93. The hog harvest in 2000 was 140, last year 2. How would you like it if your lease or favorite WMA had a near 75% decline in harvest? You would be as pissed off as the hunters are in south Florida. These cats are not afraid of people either. It can make you very uneasy if as you are dragging out a deer and have a cougar watching you from 40 yds away without showing the least bit of fear. The numbers the "experts" cite are bullshot also. They only count panthers on public land and they only count adults. How the freak can you get an accurate count with a half azz accounting like that? The whole panther thing is just a scam by the panther researchers to continue the money flow as it has been proven that the "florida panther" is none other than a western cougar living in Florida. It is no more endangered than the ones in Texas where you can shoot them 365 days a year. Once it was cool to be able to see one occasionally or even a track now you just hope they all die.

So we are now using a Facebook page as accurate data? I'm not saying they're wrong, but that ain't exactly science. Also, there's a huge difference in correlation and causation. Without any studies, you can't just say that the cougars are the reason for decreased deer harvest.

Obviosly you did not bother to check out that page.
