June 2,3,and 4. Tannehill Park. Will be lots of shooters, and a good number of vendors, usually Bear Archery, Black Widow Bows, etc.

hey FRED, you may be at the HOWARD HILL now, hoped you could tell me a little more about the activities at the shoot, can you just go in the park and see all the goings on at the shoot with out shooting?

not too crowded Fri, had some hard rain. LOTS of folks there today. Sat with a couple of guys and knapped some TQ points out.

do you make arrow points like the Indians did,? ever killed a deer with one, that would be great to get a deer with a point that you made, I have several hundred points that I found in fields along the coosa river before they were covered with water by ala. power, some are good enough to kill a deer , but I guess that would be illegal now.

yes, I make em like the Indians did. I have killed deer, hogs, turkey with stone points. They are legal if they are 7/8 wide and 100gr in weight.

that's cool, Im assuming you shoot wood arrows, how do you attach the stone heads to the shaft, do you cut a notch in shaft wide enough to put the head in ?

cut a notch to fit, add some glue and sinew wrap. Glue can be epoxy, wood glue, or pine sap/charcoal/grass mix.
