Taking the kids down over Memorial Day weekend. Other than the Battleship/submarine, what's there to do that the kids will enjoy? The kids are 12 and 9.

Probably a good idea, traffic will be bad because of beach traffic and there is nothing here that weekend that you can't do another time. Duck tours are fun for kids and you get to look around downtown and get a little history. Battleship is good, five rivers on the other end of the causeway has a pretty good taxidermy room and some short hiking trails and used to rent canoes and kayaks but not sure if they still do. Not far from there is a little boardwalk for looking at the alligators in the bay.

I do love Prichard this time a year!! go with that one, or leave early one morning and hit the beach....Fort Gaines on Dauphin island ain't bad. Be sure to get some grub on the Causeway...
