Does anyone have a guide they would recommend for specks and reds in Dauphin Island? We are going down sometime in September and want to book a trip. Another question, when is the best time for specks at Dauphin Island? I would assume the fish are holding in deeper water right now, but are you able to get on them in the flats late afternoon/early morning? Thanks

Check out Captain Lynns Inshore Charters {web site}. He's a neighbor of mine, very good with specks and reds. And alot of fun to fish with.

The best fishing for Specks around the Island is Early to middle summer. The fish tend to move further up in the Bay in the late Summer/Early Fall. I'm sure you can still catch plenty around the Island in Sep. but I wouldn't consider it the best time of year.

Bobby is not an option. One of his partners Chip is availible, as well as Scott Jordan and Capt. Dana/ Any suggestions?
