Just curious. You never see any reports or pics. I know most of the guys I fish with deer hunt. I guess it doesn't work the other way around.

I would figure a charter boat captain could. I wish bluewater would move in closer than 110 miles so I could go take some myself.

I fish offshore occasionally. I've probably have a probably have a picture or two laying around somewhere.

Snapper Slapper I think I spoke to you on the radio one day around the box cars. You and some guys were looking at it to dive.

I do down here in West Central Florida. Kind of got out of the habit when gas hit 5.00 a gallon at the Marina. You have to go a good 40 miles to get 100' down here.

You need to run quite a ways to find fish willing to bite in the summertime. Mostly Gags and Red Grouper.

No, wouldn't have been me. I don't dive. I do have a few spots around the old CSX boxcars. I don't think there is anything left of the boxcars. Time and storms have flattened them I think

We bent a shaft on a palm tree at 120 miles sse of OB two weeks ago at 2:00 am; does that count? We were b/w the two double something or others and real sw of a squiggle if that rings a bell.

We caught a white after watching it rip through some bait and free jump. Threw the smallest HT we had and it ate it up. Then we hooked into a small BF, brought it in on a 50, bridled it on a 80 and it got ate within 30 minutes. Dumped 600 yds and the goofball in the seat increased the drag when he started seeing the spool empty, bang, poof, cuss by captain.

Two nice YF and 3 Wahoo and a LONG ride in with a wobbly shaft.

How's that for a report?

I'm sure you know this, but you really should pull the boat and fix the shaft. Check the shaft bearings, stuffing box, struts, and all the rest. A bent shaft can turn into a sunk boat. Back in April we pulled 5 guys off a boat at the ram powell 5 minutes before it sank. They had hit a log coming out of Mississippi, but continued on out. I can't prove it because the boat is on the bottom in 3000' of water, but my guess is that they bent a shaft, and eventually wore out a hole in the hull, tore up the stuffing box, or the cooling sleeve on the shaft. Anyway, congrats on the white.

And it's the double nipple and the squiggles. The double nipple is an area 75-85 nm south of OB. The squiggles is an area of rough broken bottom about 50 miles SW of Panama City. Sound like you were around the West Florida Slope.

I will clean it up.

We bent a shaft on a palm tree at 120 miles sse of OB two weeks ago at 2:00 am;

(They hit a floating tree with the boat bent either the prop or the prop shaft.)

does that count? We were b/w the two double something or others and real sw of a squiggle if that rings a bell.

(He didnt really know where he was fishing, sounds to me that he was south east of orange beach a good ways.)

We caught a white after watching it rip through some bait and free jump. Threw the smallest HT we had and it ate it up.

(caught a white marlin after they seen the fish chase bait fish, they caught the fish on a hard tail or blue runner.)

Then we hooked into a small BF, brought it in on a 50, bridled it on a 80 and it got ate within 30 minutes.

(They caught a small black fin tuna on a 50 pound class rod and reel, They stuck a hook into the live black fin tuna and put it back out for live bait on a 80 pound class rod and reel. They got a bite with in 30 minutes.)

Dumped 600 yds and the goofball in the seat increased the drag when he started seeing the spool empty, bang, poof, cuss by captain.

( The fish that hit the live black fin tuna took 600 yards of line off the reel, the angler then freaked out and increased drag and broke the line, the captain laid a dog cussing on the angler that he will never forget)

Two nice YF and 3 Wahoo and a LONG ride in with a wobbly shaft.

( They caught 2 nice Yellow fin tuna and 3 wahoo, They also forgot to mention they caught and released a white marin, they had a slow ride home in a damaged boat)

How's that for a report?

Oh you just cuss normally they usually get the point, if they don't start throwing stuff from the bridge at them. I have found that you only have to throw a spit can at a deckhand once for them to get the point.

I was sent on a long adventure on thursday by the mighty Fairwater. Long boat ride that resulted in good one bite. Clean green water from the 131 hole to the Elbow to the Gravel. Heard the better water is NE of the Nipple. Any better? Need better info visit a fishing forum of pensacola.

Better water is 15 miles south of the double nipple, and runs between horn mountain and nautilus. Not many tuna this weekend. I think they are scattered all over hell, down deep in open water. The other side of the river is loaded with tuna in green water in Green Canyon. But I nor anybody I know can make that run unless they dock and refuel in LA.

If you want to read a bunch of half crazy bull****, then the pensacola forum is the place to be. There are a whole lot of people over there that have never seen bluewater, but get 25 miles out and report beautiful bluewater because they don't know any better.

Oh, oh, oh......but there was blue water at the Trysler Grounds because I saw a dolphin (mahi) by a tree that had to have come from Cuba. And on top of that, there were flocks of flying fish.
