60 day challenge...I'm all in. And I'm not happy. grin

I even ordered a salad for my entire lunch yesterday and refused to eat 90% of the croutons. I like salad, just never as THE meal. New tricks for this old dog.

Tuesday lunch on road in Georgia: Zaxby's grilled chicken Caesar salad. Water to drink. Delicious actually.

Today...I'm battling serious cravings. So I did what I had to do...heal myself with smoked meat. Hunks of outside sliced pork, pickles, collards, little bit of sauce..no bread, no fries, no starch, no pie, no sweet tea...just water. Savored every bite. So good.

Reason for the post: If I can get serious and make a conscious decision to eat less quantity and eat less carbs and strive to get my weight down, then all of you can too. It's hard, but you can do it.

No sweet tea, no bread, no pie...y'all read correctly.

God didn't give us a spirit of timidity...we are more than conquerors...We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

It's only day 3 for me....and I know it will get harder sometimes. I expect to have struggles and temptations. I know I'll probably declare a cheat day at some point---BUT---take the successes and try each day to be active and eat better. Stay positive and live---don't define yourself by a diet. Over a year's time (365 days)...just decide to do well the great majority of those days at a minimum and enjoy life at the same time..maybe even treat with some pie now and again.

Carry on.
