probably the cheapest, safest, most reliable car out there is a grand marquis. they stopped making them in 2011. but check with your wife first, some women dont like em.

Just sold the 2004 Honda Odyssey a few months ago and got my wife a 2014 Toyota Sienna. With kids and strollers and teenagers and sports gear and groceries coming and going ALL THE TIME...van is what she really likes best.
