She's in an Accord right now, drives about 80miles roundtrip for work. She has been eyeballing new vehicles lately. We'll probably get her something else sooner then later

2016 Infiniti QX80. Very good ride and plenty of room that you'll probably want when yall have kids. Not terribly bad on gas on the highway.

My wife drives a 2015 Kia Optima. She likes it, but she wants a new Challenger Hellcat.
She bought her car, she pays the car note, she keeps up with the maintenance. It is HER car.
When we got married 20 years ago, she had a car that she bought and paid for, and I did too. When I get a new car/truck I buy it...not her.
She drives what she wanted and could afford and I do the same.

Bright Red 2007 Toyota Tacoma with right at 60,000 miles. She keeps it in the garage and CLEAN. Literally looks like it just came off the lot.

Mercedes C350; but she will be back in a Lexus next time around. Nice cars; but cost of ownership is too high.
Damn deer that ran in front of her GS300 cost me a lot of money

We are definitely married. LOL
Everything else that we own is ours. The only thing that we have kept separate is the cars.
Her car is in her name only and my truck is in my name only, but the car that we bought for our son to drive is in both names.
It works for us.

My mother-in-law had Toyota Camrys for years and swore she wasn't going to drive anything else. When we bought our 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe the dealership let us drive a Sonata home while they were getting the Santa Fe ready and we took it buy my in-laws' house and let her drive it a bit. Next thing we know, they have gone and bought her a Sonata. I don't think you could go wrong with either vehicle. We are just partial to Hyundai now because of our personal experience with the brand (and our son-in-law works for the plant in Montgomery).

Based on your price point, though, you might consider a Hyundai Elantra SE instead of the Sonata.

I would add that we still have that 2008 Santa Fe...it's what I drive back and forth to Houma, La. when I go to work. 250,000 miles and still going strong. We like it so much that now 'Huntress drives a '14 Hyundai Santa Fe. You can get into a nicely equipped Sonata for pretty reasonable money, and you can drive a new, well appointed Elantra off the lot for less than 20k.

Well that makes two of us, except I take care of maintenance. Don't see anything odd bout it. If I paid for it she prolly wouldn't like it. Her's is a '11 Camry SE, she has the hots for a new one though.

"Why do you ask"?

Too many people spend money they don't have , on things they don't need, to impress people they don't know.
