MrsGomer is currently in a 2004 Sienna but she's been eyeing these newer Ford Explorers. I figure once my new [to me] truck is paid for we'll look at getting her something newer. Don't know anything about the Explorers, reliability-wise, but I like the looks of them.
Wife was looking at explorers then I seen all over the news where the newer style was having issues with carbon monoxide getting into the cab. At the time ford didn't know why or how it was happening as said it was a design flaw of some sort. May not be an issue with all of them but apparently it's a big problem with them. I'd check out which yr models before I'd pull the trigger on one.
For OP. My wife had an 05 Altima for 10yrs. It was a pretty good car. Had the typical minor things done to it. She now drives a 2014 GMC Terrain and likes it a lot.
