Poaching is trespassing whether you shoot or not. There is no such thing as a buffer zone.

You are sitting on "your land" and you don'the know where your land is?

When I catch poachers and take their picture and tag number of vehicle they return or have them on camera I call the Sheriff and provide the photos/videos and file a criminal trespassing complaint.

This has worked well for us. None have returned before or after their court date.

One even physically threaten me and threaten to burn the property.

The judge didn't think to highly of that audio recording either.
