I had one refuse to unlock for me when I gave my truck to my son. I used an air grinder with a cut off wheel. Took less than two minutes. One thing I have found out the had way. Buy a lockable one that has the "coke machine" round key to unlock. I have had one of these for over 20 years and it never failed to unlock.
Yep, the one I have on my other hitch is pretty hard to unlock, even with the key. like it's rusted up inside. Need to spray some WD40 or graphite or something up in it to see if it loosens up a bit.
