That example is how it should be.

Problem is that there are certain places and situations where the "right way" is less effective and need to be done differently.

Example: IF the yellow car turning left into the median has its own turn lane, then in that case, each car should stay left of the other oncoming car in the median....red car tuns in front of yellow car staying left. Otherwise it would be a complete cluster since there is a backup of turn lane vehicles for the red car to get through. Downside, large vehicles block the line of sight. It's kind of a problem no matter how you turn.
