Good job breaking the 0'fer on the coyotes there David. Congrats on the coyote David! Thanks gentlemen. Really haven't seen much sign of tracks or scat since I started trapping in Feb. Like they have moved off. I still hear them howl across the river at night though. I'll give it another go when nesting season starts up. God Bless, David B.

No pics but had a coyote bouncing on the end of the chain this morning. Was in a rush and left phone at home. Dirt hole set that I added a little bacon grease on a qtip to the hole after the rain.

Another coon last night in a dog proof and a dirt hole worked by something small, possibly a possum or fox. Not big enough to fire the trap.
I have pics of recent catches but photo bucket is jacked up and I can't upload.

Add another 7 coons to total. So 48 plus 7 is 55.
Put out 20 dog proof traps Wednesday.

Added another coon at a site where I broke a beaver dam in a culvert. There were fresh coon tracks around the edge. Caught a boar first night then nothing last night.
Waiting to see if the beavers repair the break. So far nothing...
Also put in a compass set for coyote near there and a dang hog got in it last night.

Another coon at the culvert and no return of the beavers. I do have a DP trap with a bullet dent now. Pass through got my trap but it still works fine.

Now that I'm a spectator for the rest of turkey season I will start putting out some trap on the weekend. I set 7 traps yesterday and had 1 coon catch last night.

I've got several jobs coming up as soon as we get back from Oklahoma next week. All water trapping for beaver and otter.

Picked up 2 beaver this morning. The bad part about summer time trapping is the non targets that plug up sets.   This beaver trapping gig must be tough. Lil' man needed a nap on the way home.

Non targets galore! Normally wouldn't post pics like this but sometimes you just have wierd catches. I don't know if the armadillo was going down for a drink or rooting around the mud where I had dropped the water levels but either way he didn't find what he expected.  Conibears could be called the turtle guillotine.
