Burbank, you are cool guy, but the above statement is just plain dumb.
If you don't know the difference between growing crops and purchasing bags of corn and dumping them out on the ground then there is no rational reasoning with you.
And THAT is the problem here - no RATIONAL reasoning with the pro side of corn pile "hunting".
Let me start off saying I'm not a big pro baiting guy. I have a large plot planted in a "high octane" Fall mix , it's as good as anybody's. It's surrounded by a thick, 10 yo hardwood clear cut. It is not overhunted by any stretch . When I give someone a tour of the property I always say " now I'm gonna show you what legal bait looks like."
I guess you think, bush hogging perfectly good standing corn isn't bait either. State said that practice was perfectly legal to hunt over . Heck, they even did it on state property. That my friend is bait, as is standing corn, IMO.
