It's all about money. That is ridiculous. You'll have to be a millionaire to be able to hunt AL going forward.

If you don't have $15, you should probably be working instead of hunting

Does the bill that passed the House and is now pending in the Senate actually state that baiting is legal IF (and only if) it is done with a FEEDER???
Or does it purport to legalize any and all kinds of baiting whether via a feeder or otherwise???

What really erks me is this being purely about greasing a squeaky wheel. Baiting has absolutely no benefit for THE RESOURCE, as they are supposed to be managing. Legalizing it only benefits lazy hunters and lazy game wardens.
I hate making a good first impression. There’s no way I can keep that shit up.

I love how they spin it... The privilege license could earn an additional $15 per year, and Williams said the funds raised could be put to use by the department to hire additional game wardens to enforce the state's hunting laws. That additional revenue will never see a game warden's pocket.

If you don't have $15, you should probably be working instead of hunting This is the exact attitude that has GWs I've spoken with say they won't enforce it. They say they don't want anything that will make it harder on the poor man and easier on the rich. Their desire is something simple like baiting is legal and everyone can do it, or it is illegal. Period, no if, ands, or buts.

Yes and I'd also pay $10k/yr for the right to hunt. But I don't want to.

But we've already killed too many does without using bait. Why do we need it? There's folks out there that grow deer in a pen and they'll sell you one to shoot if you like. Watching a corn feeder is not hunting. I hunt because I enjoy the challenge of trying to kill an animal in an environment they call home, where I am merely a visitor. I want to find the animal in its natural setting, not lure it into an ambush location. To each his own, but that's not hunting.

I agree. A well prepared green field is a much better attractant than a spin feeder.

Look asshole it's the same fraking thing you plant a Greenfield an ambush a poor little deer when it comes to feed lmao You mean a greenfield that has nutritional value to deer and other wildlife vs. corn which has no real nutritional value to southern deer. It is all carbs which turns to sugar in the body. Northern deer can use it as it is instant energy that can help them survive the cold winters. It tastes good to them though, so it has about the same nutritional and attractant value as feeding our kids a Milky Way and Snickers diet.

Not mention a much greater benefit to the wildlife from a total habitat standpoint. Plus the time and effort invested is just a little more than dropping by Walmart on your way to the stand.

A made a comment about Ambush location!!!! Too most hunters a Greenfield is nothing more than a way to lure a deer in close for the kill
