Bibb County, lake purdy, walker co lake... Used to be some pay catfish and trout ponds close to bham back when I was a kid but havent seen any of them in years.
Can go to smith lake dam and catch bout all the bream ya want to from the bank or from the spillway walkway below it.
No way in heck I would take my kids to the spill way. When they let that water loose without warning it gets real deep real fast. It's amazing more people don't drown out there every year.
