Caught something in a trap, set on fresh coyote sign, on a drag (didn't have time to look AND was dressed for court). Got my friend looking for me now, hopefully have pics soon. Lonster He went about 75 yards.

A opossum in the hands is great turkey killer! A turkey egg eating, grinning predator. Nice catches Lonster and Squadron77! 4 coons caught today. One double and 2 singles. God Bless, David B.

i typed up a post earlier this morning (just before 2 a.m.) and i reckon' i was so tired i didn't submit . yesterday, i was out of town from can to can't. pete was able to get a few minutes of r and r between jobs so he came home and checked the traps. he was happy to see we had a yote. he was even happier when he saw the second yote. ***we haven't put in the effort to trap them yet as i did some reading (yeah, on the interweb, so you know it's the truth) that it's better for the deer if'n you's trap around may or june (when it's really getting warm out ). seems if you take all the yotes out of an area during the early trapping season, the "wanderers" will move into the territory pretty quick like. they'll already be established when the fawn birthing begins. if you wait a few months and take out the most you can, if not all, the "wanderers" will still move in but the baby deer will have time to grow a bit. i don't know how true it is but it makes sense. i've been wanting to trap some real bad so we put the traps back out in the neighborhood. it payed off.*** caught a female at property line of one next door neighbor caught her mate at the property line of the other neighbor - this is a good spot. this is the third one caught on this corner all dressed up with no where to go

Good catches guys. As far as the best time to trap...no time better than the present. Every coyote, coon, bobcat, fox, skunk and possum needs killing. You'll never catch them all so trap every chance that you get.

Three more coons. Was going to ask yesterday if this needed to be reset, and lured again, as two rains have been on it. Didn't reset, or re-lure it, and Deer are giving me fits. God Bless, David B.

[img:center] [/img] [img:center] [/img] Got 2 more today. Well, actually 7 more. One had 5 babies in its pouch. How do I report that on my end of year trapping summary to the state?
