The guy that owns the property across the road from my house loves to shoot on Sunday afternoon on a regular basis, especially during deer season. I think it bothers my wife more than it does the deer but it is pretty annoying when you're trying to hunt

I tell you one thing if anybody ever came to me and asked me to stop shooting my guns on my property we would have some major problems. It wouldn't be a problem for me. I'd probably tell him to pound sand, if I'm feeling Fredish, or to just F off if I'm in a bad mood. After that, I just ignore him. Now if I were close to his property and shooting in his direction and he came to me politely, I'd be willing to compromise with him in some way.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

We shoot on our property whenever we want to...our neighbors shoot on theirs whenever they want to. If anything bothers me when they're shooting, it's only jealousy that I've got something else going on at the moment and can't go join them! Tannerite occasionally booms in our neck of the woods, too...we do make the rounds and advise neighbors in advance when that happens. Usually in addition to "just letting them know", there's also a "ya'll come join us if you can" involved. We're good neighbors, and we have good neighbors! I spent 2 or 3 days across the road last time I was home clearing and pushing brush. He is an OTR truck driver, gone several weeks at a time, she runs a small business over in Opp. They had the brush cut, but no way to move it other than by hand. I have a small tractor with a FEL, so I went and pushed/piled everything they had ready. That's just how good neighbors treat each other...
We also hunt our property, with a stand being about 350-400 feet behind the house, as the crow flies. You can hear our livestock, anyone moving around/doing something in the yard, and the neighbors, including any shooting that's going on...doesn't bother any of the wildlife, and doesn't bother me.

I suspect I annoy my neighbors with my shooting at times, but they all shoot too so nobody has ever said anything. I do try to be courteous and would never shoot during prime hunting time. And I don't use the skeet range except about 9-4, and only during the week when most of them will be working.

I seriously doubt it effects the deer at all. I've shot a deer and then have another one come walking by on the same trail a minuet later, before I even went to look for blood.

My neighbor is, well, not what you would expect. He is Indian. Like from India (or at least his Dad was) type Indian. When he moved in I thought "this ain't gonna be good". Then I got to talking to him and noticing a few things. He had a bass boat he fished out of. Had a John Deere tractor. Played the guitar. Drove a lifted 4WD truck. His dog is a bluetick hound. Has now bought land in Macon Co to deer hunt on. He shoots ALL the time. I'll take the shooting if that is the worst he does. I wouldn't trade him for any other neighbor and hope he never moves. So, he can just keep on shooting.

Let it ride... Yep. I used to let it get me fouled up til one day I realized the deer didn't mind it.

I heard NO LESS than 500 shots this afternoon from every direction. I thought there is no way any dadgum deer in their right mind would stick close by to all this.
At dark-30, 4 does eased out into a food plot down the gasline from me and we saw another small doe coming out.
It was certainly not a peaceful, tranquil hunting experience today but the deer didn't seem to mind as much as I did.
Ya'll are just overthinking it now

Neighbors routinely shoot near us, deer get used to it. I used to hunt on a farm where the farmer would pass hauling feed to his cows on a trailer. They passed one day and a doe and nice buck sat in the woods till they got by and then I shot the buck. They said they didn't know I was hunting or they would have waited. I laughed and said we all waited till they passed. It was routine so the deer didn't care.

Ive had to stop shooting and let deer cross the range before they don't pay it any attention.
Keep your booger hooker off the bang switch.
