I keep thinking the same thing because they hear it all the time, but I can't remember ever seeing any deer after he's been through. I figure if they are there, they lay low untill after dark, then come out. He did jump a doe bedded down by the road one day, she got on pretty quick. I have seen deer walking straight toward somebody target practicing going to bed down, they were less than 200yds away from the shooting. I shot a coyote the other day 50yds away from a doe, she went on about her business like it never happened. A friend of mine shot a buck yesterday and a spike in the Greenfield came over and started eating right by his dead buck. One day the slightest noise spooks everything around, the next day dynamite wont scare them off. But if were sitting there not seeing deer when we think we should be, every one of us will blame it on a nearby noise or smell. Who knows why they do what they do really. Almost as confusing as women.
