I have Vector Security. They have an office in Hoover. I am very pleased. I signed like a 2 year contract for monitoring for 35/month and they supplied 100% of the equipment. Included all doors, windows, glassbreaks, keypad, 3 remotes, 2 sirens 1 inside and 1 out.
It was used and saved my home from being robbed a few years ago. The pos kicked in the back door and ran when the sirens went off. Cops showed up shortly.
I also have a security camera system from Amazon that I am very pleased with. Installed myself. Can view from anywhere on my phone. It also records about 2 weeks worth of video. It was less than 300$.

We do have a security system but the best thing we have is to very large German Shepherds that have the run of the joint inside and out.....NOBODY will even get out of their car in our driveway!! UPS and FedEx know to drive up quietly and scoot the package on to the front porch since the dogs HATE them!!

We use a local guy from Moulton. He uses a monitoring service. I think it runs $15 per month with phone line and $25 mo if you cellular receiver. No contract. If you are interested I'll get you his contact info. He is a good guy and does a good job. He has some kind of referral discount also

Frontpoint security. 42 per month . All wireless,interactive monitoring from any computer or smartphone.
Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts,hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

Just had ADT Pulse installed, 3 exterior cameras, 1 interior camera , and multiple Zwave switches. You pay for the equipment, they basically install it for free after promos and rebates. Can access cameras for phone, control lights, etc with touch of a button. Hard to beat. Monthly fee of $55.

We had frontpoint for 3 years and left it with the new owners when they bought the house. It's a do it yourself system. We swapped to simplisafe on our new house. Simplisafe had just as good reviews and was cheaper. I personally like the features frontlines app offers more than simplisafe.

PIT home security system costs about $80 month in food and med. The one i keep in my santum santorium is the teethiest one, he listens to rap music all day.

Go to Amazon and buy GE Simon XT security package for around $220.00. Took me about 3 hours to install and program the system to call me,my son and my wife. No other expense except a 24 hour back up battery after 3 years!

Dog. Big. Loud. actually deters crime instead of just letting you know you got broke into. Usually not too good at taking pics.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

I have a 100 lb weimaraner. He takes his job seriously. He gets paid by getting to lay on one of the couches without having his ass beat for it. The one way in the back that has an old blanket on it.
Kind of like having a really big lab on speed.
The backup is an 8 camera elec system that's hard wired and records to a dvr in the house. With the big, loud, bite yer ass dog. It has the option of emailing or texting you but I've never set that up. I have a nosy neighbor who's retired and does nothing for that.
