Good advice^^^ If this isn't possible then take measures to have him drop on the spot, the neighbors may be upset to find out Elvis is dead, but they will get over it. If you have to drag him out of their yard then it gets real. Also you could drop it in conversation with a couple neighbors to gage their reaction, if the look at you like you just said you was gonna take out the family dog laugh it off like it was just a joke and sneak Elvis to the processor at night when they can't see that awesome rack shining in the sunlight

22 to the ear, from inside the house. If I had deer that I saw regularly at my house I would more than likely just watch them however a big boy shows up id have to lay him out. does and small bucks would get a pass.

Smoke his ass right st dark while he hopefully in woodline. Wait till neighbors go bed and quietly load his ass up. Then ask neighbors next week if they have seen Elvis around like you are are concerned something might of happened to him. Sounds like a Rambo mission lol

Just the fact that you are even thinking about shooting that deer says an awful lot about your character and you as a HUNTER.

What outdoor skills sets would it require for you to KILL not harvest this buck? Would you really be proud of your biggest buck ever, simply because you shot him. You did absolutely nothing to earn the right to shoot this buck, other than buying a house in an area that he frequents. This is a subject that I am very familiar with, as we have numerous deer throughout our neighborhood which also happens to be inside the city limits. We all enjoy watching them and yes, I have dreamed of shooting a buck like a couple of the monsters that roam our sub-division but I would never seriously consider it.

However, my daughters X boyfriend and I stress X, decided that one night he was going to take the risk and shoot one of the big bucks, during the rut. He basically got out of his truck, walked up to within 35 yards of the 152" buck and shot him with his bow. He thought that I would be impressed and brought him to my house to show me at 11:15 pm. I was tempted to have him arrested on the spot but instead, I took the deer from him and donated it to Feed the Hungry and cut up the horns for the dogs to chew on.

Oh, and by the way, he stopped dating my daughter that night.

I hope you were only looking for support NOT TO SHOOT the buck from fellow Aldeer members. Unfortunately, there are some on here that have no respect for the animals we hunt, and obviously to a much higher opinion of themselves.

Take pics of the deer, set up a game camera and just enjoy watching him. Trust me, there would nothing good to come of it. Sorry for the rant, but I consider myself sportsman and a true hunter, and I hope you do too.

I have been after a good mature deer for years now mostly hunting public land.. I have gotten in some shitty clubs but have kept bow hunting and persevering in hopes for a wall hanger one day. I just don't think that I can do it like this. I have put in too much time in this thick South Alabama cover chasing these basket racked deer. Just crazy that the biggest deer I have even seen around here lives out my back door.

I understand where you are coming from to an extent, but at the same time there are a bunch of people who buy property and build on it strictly for the ability to be able to hunt at the house.

I hunt 20 acres across the street from my house, and while I may not shoot a buck out of my driveway if he's in my food plot in the back yard he is fair game. I also have people who hunt on all sides of me, so even if I don't shoot he WILL die at the neighbors regardless of size. Drives me insane that my neighbors to the south and the east are "meat hunters" but don't believe in shooting does. I had a pretty little 5 point that I would see regularly and the neighbor to the east killed him last Monday morning.

I'd shoot him then I would direct my speakers towards the neighbors house, turn the volume wide open and play Elvis' "I did it my way"!

Man relax its just a deer. He's not talking about going after it with a blow gun and poison dart.

We are talking about killing a deer. I would assume that we all deer hunt or we wouldn't be on this forum??? Loosen up folks let Flounderpounder do what he wants to do. If he wants to kill the deer and its on his property, during deer season, during legal shooting hours…
I'm not trying to get in a pissing match here, please don't try to play internet lawyer, I play one in real life.
Flounderpounder, if you want to kill that deer, go ahead. IF you get in trouble, legally speaking, and you need my services, just PM me.

Shoot straight,
Lonster, Esq.

FYI…A couple of weeks ago I was watching "Turkey Man" Eddie Salter's television show, and they had a guy from up on the east coast around the New England States. This guy gets a call from his friend that there is a gobbler in his neighbor's back yard (in a subdivision). They get permission from the guy and shoot the bird from his back porch! Wasn't entertaining but it happened.

What a self-righteous prick. What's the difference in shooting him from a treestand in your back yard and a treestand on the back 40? Having a buck patterned is having a buck patterned. You can't help where the deer lives.

How funny would it be if Muzzie ended up being a neighbor! The skill here would be to be stealthy and not get lynched by the Muzzie and the neighborhood dogooders

If it was me I would shoot those doe that are also eating stuff in your yard. I hope you don't think he is the only one. How bout trying something to protect your trees. You will still have a problem if you kill that deer. If that's the only way I could kill a "big deer" that's pretty lame. Feed him and see how big he gets...He is where he is suppose to be, not his fault someone put a house in his bedroom and planted food...Regardless GL with your situation
