I wound up with an 18" auger bit to fit my stinger on the back of my tractor that I traded a landscaper for years ago when he was going out of business. You can plant smaller trees with it as well depending on the root ball. We take it slow and easy and then drop the carcass in that and cover it up. I have been saying for years I was going to make a proper pit digester, but this has been working fine and the yotes won't dig it up. Heck, a 12" would probably work if you are in the habit of boning every little scrap of meat. I'll go ahead and tell you a 12" works just fine!
