That's true, but they will move down the dam. Also, a pipe in the dam won't work b/c it appears to be a pond he wants to keep. You have to kill them all at one time, just shooting at a few here and there educates them similar to shooting at a buck in a food plot.
Traps are fairly easy to use and effective if you have the time to do it right. I sent you a pm.
