If you can trap or kill one put it where they are doing the most damage. I have heard that the live ones will not come near the dead one.
Other than that keep killing everyone you see to get rid of them.
You can do a google search for beaver control and it will show you designs you can do with a fence for the spill way to discourage them. I think it may be called a "Beaver Deceiver" ?
