I am sure this has been discussed before I just haven't seen it. I haven't been much of a trail cam guy. Put a few out here and there over the years but never cared much for them. I am hunting some new land and it's kicking my but this year. I am looking to put some cams out at the end of the season during some scouting trips. What cams are the best bang for the buck? I am looking at $100 or lower for cams. Thanks.

I love my Browning. If you can find one for your budget, I'd grab it. That said, I have an old Moultrie A5 (discontinued G1 model) that was around $60. It's just a couple buttons, but it's still performing like a champ after continuous use for all this time. I have a budget Bushnell (from Walmart) and 95% of the pictures are of an empty field/trail. In other words, after a week it will have 300 images on the card, but only a handful with an actual critter. Perhaps it is too sensitive to movement? Anyways, that's just my limited experience. I'm sure you can find lemons with each brand, but you also don't need a $400 trailcam.

Covert. Dependable cameras. Catch them on sale after the season and you can get the mp 6 for $90 and sometimes the better models for around $105. Long battery life, small compact , uses AA batteries.

I bought 4 bushnell E2 essentials in August and they have been great cameras. I saw them somewhere for $100 the other day online. The coverts are great also!

I bought 3 of the covert mp8 black and you can get them on ebay for right at $100. I've use the homebrew for years so honestly the pic quality isn't close to them but they take goo enough pics and have good battery life.

I bought a bresser camera with a 1.4" screen for viewing pictures. 2 sec delay not changeable takes decent pics with a 36 ft range. It was $30 at Walmart on sale. If you do get DO NOT I repeat do not put it in a patch. 1200 pics in three days. It works good for scrapes or trails though

I got dicks card for Christmas and bought the 69 dollar cudybac with it. Compared to older flash cudybacs this ones picture quality is bad. No clear pics, I wouldn't recommend this in the cheap ones. Right now I would say any of the cheaper Primos I've had good service with

The primos truth cams have worked well for me $100 or less... easy setup and clear pics.

I buy the cheapest cameras I can find, usually about 2 per year. I normally have 8-9 running, and I have about 2 per year that crap out. Most of mine are watching feeders, I change cards when I fill feeders, I don't do videos, or need any neat features. Half of mine don't even have the right time or date, I just use them to see what I have. The only thing that matters to me is durability and battery life. Nearly all cameras now days will take 30,000 pictures or more on a set of batteries. I also can tell no difference in durability between $65 cameras up to $200 cameras, I have had cameras die after one season and I have had some that make it 7-8 seasons, regardless of brand or how much I paid.

Brand X at low prices will really make you hate them even more when you wasted a set of batteries and the cards full of a leaf blowing or the backend of something in the pic because the trigger speed is slow as molasses.
How does a trigger speed of 1/5th of a second sound to you?

I bought 4 Primos Easy Cam cameras on a flash sale at Field and Stresm for $30 each and I have been very happy with them. Don't expect ANY bells and whistles though. On/off switch and that is it. I have 12 cuddiebacks and daytime shots are just as good but they are infrared so night shots are less quality but still decent. Here is a daytime pic.

ive got some of the cheaper bushnells and some of the high dollar trophy cams an I swear I cant tell much difference in picture quality, few other minor differences but for the money ima get some more. my buddy has some of them primos cameras an they.... DO ^^^^^ takes some dang good pictures

My philosophy is that all trail cams are disposable. So I buy the cheapest ones I can find. I buy all of mine from eBay and never pay over $50 for any of then. They all take pictures.
I hate making a good first impression. There’s no way I can keep that shit up.

I have about 8 of those and 12 cheap Bushnell cameras I have had two years. If all you need is pictures on a corn pile or salt lick got them refurbished on eBay for 19.99. Hard to beat for that price.
