I thought about working on fishing reels after I retire. Pays decent , work from home or wherever and be my own boss.

It's working out well

That ain't as easy as it seems. I have a commercial grow about 100 yards from my back door, and that guy works his butt off from very early spring until October (they call it Croptober here in SW Oregon). Then like any other farm operation, his entire year's income can be screwed by weather and market conditions beyond his control. Not to mention sitting up all night guarding it once the buds begin to mature.

Posted in the retirement post - I would like to teach chemistry, advanced math, or physics at a private high school unless there is a waiver available that would allow me to teach at a public school without having to go back to college to get a teaching certificate.

You can teach at public schools for three years before you have to get your certificate. Most would require you to be working towards it while they employ you. If you have the credentials, a private school will snatch you up in those fields. If you are really interested, go to the AISA website and look at their job postings. Especially in the late Spring.

For the past several years, I've been piddling, when I'm home, with small livestock; chickens, rabbits, goats, etc., and I've established a small fruit orchard that I enjoy messing with. If I ever get to retire, I'll just do those things full-time!

I'll continue as a cost estimator. The reason for retiring from my current job will be to supplement my retirement with a 401K from a private company, make more hourly, and create a 4th source of income.

I have considered getting an FFL and selling a few guns. Not really a full fledged gun store but a small operation It's something I love to do anyway and I could do it when I want and make a few bucks. If Hillary had won the election I would already be in the process of getting one. I figure there would have been another rush to buy any and every gun that was available again.

I've had a sideline business for years doing forensic structural engineering which I really enjoy actually more than my main design structural engineering practice. I would like to retire into it and do some select consulting as well, only the projects that interest me. I'd like to do some mission work as well, that I really don't have time to do now. I definitely don't see me sitting around.

I've thought about a B&B with a small gift shop with handmade soaps, candles, shirts and what nots. Maybe dabble in some dog training/breeding also.

I've got a small cattle farm going now ,I hope to expand it before retirement. I would also like to do some buyig & selling of farm equipment, trucks, ect. That should keep me plenty busy.
