There's a reason harvest totals are way down during mild winters, deer don't move as much during the day. They have thier winter coats on and when its warm they are really warm. Yes, you might kill a deer when its 80 degree's, but i wont cause i'll be doing something else. I like to keep my stands fresh, especially my best stands for the rut, so i only hunt them when conditions are in my favor. Some people hunt a property to death and then wonder why when the rut hits their not seeing mature deer.
