Anyone else having a hard time getting into hunting this year with the hot weather? I can walk out my door and hunt but haven't been one time so far this year. I hope this weather breaks and turns cold pretty soon. I did finally plant some plots a few weeks back, so I guess this hot weather is good for the plots, but not good for hunting. I am more of a Jan/Feb hunter anyway, but I usually do a little early hunting just to get it out of my system, but I haven't had the urge to go so far...

I'd gladly go hunting if I could shake this crud. But you are correct it's just not the same with 70 degree weather

Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts, hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

I can hardly believe it myself......

But, I have only been deer hunting 1 time in AL this year!!!

Between work, access to a family farm in IL and this dang hot weather; I just cannot get 'in the mood'!!!

I am hoping that some cooler weather will come as the Rut gets here. I would love to do some hunting!

I have to tell you the truth. I have...second year in a row.

Just cant get as motivated as I used to. I used to HAVE to hunt.

Now I HAVE to get myself to go.

Going to try to fire up the ole desire. I am hunting in Texas for a 4-5 day hunt in South Texas.

I used to love to travel and hunt and am kind of excited. This should be a goodtime. Private ranch....just me there hunting with a friend. Lots of land. Managed for good ones.

Im looking forward. Had fun here at home...shot 2 nice ones when I did go...but ready to see more then I do here.

I haven't wanted to go yet this year and if it wasn't for a member here making me go now hunting once and my son wanting to go I wouldn't have been at all. Been in the deer woods 4 hunts now I think. I save up for turkey season though. smile

Last year and all the previous I hunted every chance I could. This winter , or whatever it's called, it's been so hot. Even the most serious hunter I know is the same way.

I have no issue. I go every chance I can, unless I think the wind is bad enough to mess up a stand location for me.

Probably why you're Ole Lady keeps buying you cool toys, she wants you to get the hell out of the house grin

I've been a whopping three times and only seen deer on one of those hunts and that was one Saturday when it was cold. I've been off work on vacation for two weeks now, live 5 minutes from the hunting property, and have been once during that time. Weather has just had me and my boys in no mood to go.

I have been putting it in the corn feeder. Just can't seem to get the rut going when I want it to.
