I'm back after them this evening in the heat wave. Seen 5 this morning in this stand and hoping the buck in after will slip through this evening

Just got into my climber down in a swamp. The boys and I pounded some shots of liquor before we hit the woods so I'm pretty buzzed up at the top of this old oak. Had a tough time getting my stand on the tree but I made it happen. Hope I get a good one, but even if I don't, I'm still having a good time good luck everyone.

I quit fishing a long time ago. I'm even worse at fishing than I am at hunting.

I'm sitting on the ground at the bottom of a ridge looking up. I've never hunted deer above me like this. The wind is in my face and the thermals should carry my scent down so I'm not worried about being smelled. Any of y'all had much success hunting deer above them? Seems like a hunting no no. Anyways here's my set up and the buck I'm after in here.

Drunk while climbing a tree with a rifle. What could go wrong?

I usually just sit on the ground on my cooler. So I'm close to my refills if I'm drinking and hunting!

Nothing this morning in Cleburne. Good to have you home! Toot the horn if you drive by! Will do man! Good to be back, even if it's fishing weather.

This warm weather is why I always bring my golf clubs with me when I drive down to Clayton AL from Chicago in January or April. If the hunting is slow because of the temps, I'll drive over to Eufalla and play a quick 18 holes. Keeps me from burning out on hunting when deer or turkey movement is slow.

Easy killer I said I was buzzed not drunk. I'm sober enough to know what I'm doing but I'm drunk enough to really enjoy doing it. The sweet spot.

I did some scouting on my personal property around lunch in shorts and t-shirt and I was still sweating.

Buzzed hunting lol that has to be a new Alabama hunting term, but it is definitely something I will not be participating in nor anyone I hunt with will be either. Be safe and kill a big buck

Good thing you don't hunt with me. I don't care if you drink, but as soon as you do your hunting day is over. if you are buzzed you are impaired. Its too easy to get hut hunting or hurt someone else. One or the other your choice, just not smart to think its macho to drink and try to hunt. No redo's once a bullet leaves the barrel. Merry Christmas
