A lot of kids have problems and grow out of it. Allergies, snot all the time common with young kids. Been there done that. Tonsils and adenoids are there for a reason. Sounds like possobly allergies. May need to get allergy test done and 2or3 opinions with surgery being last option. They say surgery will have to be repeated for sinuses if you start as well balloon in nose. If you can get through 3 or 4 more years may see improvement.

Prayers sent. My son had the same at 6. The worst part is not being able to take the pain away. They do heal so quickly and the quality of life for them is so much better afterward.

We will be praying for yall

Prayers Travis for all involved.
I had a T&A done at 6 years old due to having constant strep throat. After that, no more problems. He'll be fine after a few days of a really sore throat.
Nothing hard to eat for a few days though that could scratch his surgical sites. Hang tuff bud, it'll be fine.

My sons had his adenoids taken out and tubes put in his ears around that age. Nothing too it. He still has his tonsils. Looking back I wish they would have taken those out too. He is almost 19 and will get strep about once or twice a year. He also gets tonsil stones occasionally.

I wouldn't worry too much, he will handle it much better than you will smile. Speedy recovery for the little man.

Like Cactus_buck I am also an ER nurse and we rarely see any complications in this age group. When we do it's usually because they have ate a potato chip or cookie about 1 week out and the scab has broken loose. Not usually a major deal but scary none-the-less because there's blood involved. Good luck and prayers sent.
