Made it to camp. Turned on water pump, check. Open main valve, check. Closed drain valve, check. Turned heater on in bathroom, check. Turned on valve to toilet, check. Check for brown recluse under toilet seat, check.

I went in blind on a property that my buddy recently gained access to in Andalusia. It's his step-mom's father's property and it's up for sale, so he said to shoot whatever we please. I'm looking out over a natural growth clear cut and there are trails everywhere. Couldn't find a good tree so I'm only about 14ft off the ground and can't see as much as I would like. Absolutely beautiful morning in the woods 30 degrees and no wind. Eli brought along his bow this morning and is still looking for his first bow kill!
The secret to a long marriage is to keep on dating, just as you did before marriage. We have "date night" once a week.
Hers is Saturday, mine is Thursday.
The only time a married woman gives those is if your not married to them!

I'm hunting a big foodplot this morning where I can see a long ways in three directions. I'm hoping a doe will lead a BIG buck by me...2 fawns have been feeding in the field since daylight

In a ground blind in chilton county in some thick pines. You can see better from the ground than in the tree here. Very light misty rain and fog here. Was not expecting the rain at all.

Had a "2017 Goal Planning" meeting with my boss at 10:00, so that blocked me from hunting this morning. Get an email from his secretary just then at 7:15 informing me that the meeting needed to be cancelled and rescheduled for after Christmas. Makes me want to cuss like Yosemite Sam!!!!!
