I know a lot of folks on here love the benelli M2, but what about the montefeltro? Cheaper, lighter...and I am not really sure what the difference is. What other semi's you guys toting in 20ga?
I have a SBEII, and love it, so I know benelli is worth the investment, but I am not closed to other brands.

The Montefeltro 20 is wood/blued and also is a low rib gun vs the M2 being a raised rib gun. I like the Montefeltro and M2 both but my vote in a 20ga semi-auto goes 100% to a Winchester SX3 20ga. They're around $800 new and as soft a shooting 20ga as you'll ever find and super reliable as well

For a turkey gun, I would imagine a 24" barreled (or shorter is you want to cut it off and rethread it) Franchi Affinity would be hard to beat. They are fine, fine little guns without having to spend the $ for a Benelli. If it wasn't for my screwed up wrist and pretty much requiring a pistol grip, there is no doubt that is the gun I would turkey hunt with.

I do like the price of the affinity. What chokes for an affinity and TSS? Hard to go wrong with an Indian Creek, but I'm sure there are several people on here that have sampled other chokes that are just as good. The key is to shoot TSS in just about anything and it will be better than anything else you could shoot.

The affinity is a fine little gun. It's what I have toted to the woods the last two springs.
As for chokes mine liked the Undertaker High Density .582 ported with the current 1 7/8 oz load of #8 TSS I'm shooting through her.

Haven't some of you Affinity guys had cycling issues with some of the TSS loads because of the length of the hulls?

I have a wooden dowel rod marked that I use. If I had to guess, about 1/8 of an inch. That would be really close.
Ive been shooting the set up for 2 seasons and don't know half of what a lot of these other guys do- but think most people shooting automatics are trimming the hulls.

Cole I have had some feed issues with the 1 7/8 oz load. I just follow up the 3" load with a factory 3" federal heavy weight or a 2.75 load of TSS. No issues if I do that. My 3" TSS load is a star crimp so is a little better than a roll but still just a tad bit to long to feed from the mag.
